Student Health Center healthcare providers offer care to any student, including trans students, seeking evaluation and treatment of most general medical concerns.
- Students presenting to the Student Health Center seeking care through a transition are referred to a specialist in the community.
- Student Health Center healthcare providers have not specifically been trained on trans issues, however several providers are Safe Zone Allies. (For a listing, visit Safe Zone).
PHARMACY
Students can get their hormone prescriptions filled at the Student Health Center Pharmacy. The Student Health Center Pharmacy can fill prescriptions from any healthcare provider with prescribing privileges.

UNIVERSITY STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE
Procedures such as hormone therapies and sex reassignment surgeries associated with transitioning are currently not covered benefits on the University Student Health Insurance plan (Pearce & Pearce).
